19 February came and went. Just like the many strangers and certain friends.
I observed from a corner, how a simple game like hide and seek could bring such joy to the little kids the really little one especially. they laughed and played so happily.
I stood right up & joined in the fun and before I knew it I broke into a run. the sudden joy that swept through me was simple.. significant .. we laughed with glee
hide and seek, a game we play not just the kids but us too, i say
to run, to hide, to never be found the game just goes on like merry-go-round
a cyclical order that it maintains to emerge the winner but its always in vain
we hid and hoped to not be found but it always ends up the other way round
we hid and hoped that we could escape from anything undesirable that we blamed on fate
I found a place I thought was safe, but apparently ..well ....thats not the case, I wasn't found by anyone but that wasn't the reason I made the run
We all play the game unwarily not for the intended joy ironically theres no laugher in this game just the deafening silence that resonates our pain.

-Hark!-
The truth, behold... the truth be told. We cant handle it thats what i'm told.
The truth behold... the truth be told. We wish otherwise as it unfolds.
But. Do stay. Prick up your ears. Listen out for the mental fray.
Cos despite the unspoken.
You'll hear, you'll hear.
You'll hear the echoes from the shadows of the largely unspoken.
You'll hear, you'll hear.
You'll hear the willows swaying ever so gently with every stream of sorrows.
Watch and listen! & there you have it! Ignorance's all stolen.
Regrets set in. Now.. now.. now.. u wish, to never have listened.
Hold it tight, hold it close, the hurt's your faithful companion.
Its then you begin to wish... to hope...
that
the unsilenced are silenced, the spoken be unspoken, the heard be unheard, the untold never be unfolded
However.
its too late. but thats how we learnt, thats what im told
the truth behold. the truth untold. the truth... the truth... the truth unfolds...

theres so much negativity in this world of superficiality, wheres simplicity?
or is it just me?
behaving naively with too much sensitivity?
in such dire times, dire needs, i beg of u... jolt my seed of passion immediately
to salvage whatsever left of my humanity save me from all these drudgery however not compromising my morality.
whatever the case, I just loathe suchcomplexity

Is there such a thing as essentially good. or is this belief that many of us hold dearly to, just a mere testament/reflection of our vulnerability as human beings.
We like the idea of having logic and reasons, ruling this seemingly beautiful 'simple-minded' world. And when there are overt/blatant evidences that prove otherwise on the beauty and simplicity, we become so lost of the direction in life. And this is when we try to justify whatever we find hard to digest and assimilate, to reasonings and beliefs [unnecessary on its authenticity] that we can embrace and have hope and faith in.
We choose to believe that this person deserve this/that cos he/she is a good [subjective] person. We choose to believe that this person deserves a second chance becos he/she is essentially good. we choose to believe that this person is simple-minded and sweet whom we can trust.
We choose to believe becos we are afraid of what our future might be like if theres no such rules/laws of right/wrong to dictate it. good people die young, good people encounter bad deeds, people are not necessary essentially good/bad for that matter. This is the reality. But many of us choose to ignore whats real. And be obscured from the clear view of reality. Instead we cling on to our own naive beliefs, residing in the sanctuary of escapism.
Maybe its precisely this essential to have these beliefs to make life more bearable than it truly is, that we hope there is this essential good.
