Is there such a thing as essentially good.
or is this belief that many of us hold dearly to, just a mere testament/reflection of our vulnerability as human beings.
We like the idea of having logic and reasons, ruling this seemingly beautiful 'simple-minded' world.
And when there are overt/blatant evidences that prove otherwise on the beauty and simplicity, we become so lost of the direction in life. And this is when we try to justify whatever we find hard to digest and assimilate, to reasonings and beliefs [unnecessary on its authenticity] that we can embrace and have hope and faith in.
We choose to believe that this person deserve this/that cos he/she is a good [subjective] person.
We choose to believe that this person deserves a second chance becos he/she is essentially good.
we choose to believe that this person is simple-minded and sweet whom we can trust.
We choose to believe becos we are afraid of what our future might be like if theres no such rules/laws of right/wrong to dictate it.
good people die young, good people encounter bad deeds, people are not necessary essentially good/bad for that matter.
This is the reality.
But many of us choose to ignore whats real.
And be obscured from the clear view of reality.
Instead we cling on to our own naive beliefs, residing in the sanctuary of escapism.
Maybe its precisely this
essential to have these beliefs to make life more bearable than it truly is, that we hope there is this
essential good.
